Join Indianapolis Women’s Chorus in the first concert of our 25th season, as we lift up “Unsung Voices.” This energizing and empowering program includes a diverse selection of songs that deserve a wider audience! You’ll hear music for women’s voices by top-caliber composers whose names were overlooked or buried because of their race, gender, or status, as well as “everyday” voices of regular people as they go about their lives. You’ll hear early Baroque music by an accomplished composer who was also a nun, a 20th century composition by Florence Price - an African-American woman whose prize-winning music is now being rediscovered - right next to a haunting Romanian lullaby, contemporary a cappella, and more!

As part of their 25th Anniversary Season, and in celebration of Women’s History Month, the Indianapolis Women’s Chorus will make their debut appearance at All Saints on March 3, 2019. With the dynamic leadership of Meagan Johnson, Artistic Director, this unique vocal ensemble made up of blended feminine voices will present the choral works of women representing the 12th through 21st centuries, including Hildegard of Bingen, Chiara Margarita Cozzolani, Florence Price and Elaine Hagenberg.
